Why does society romanticize the systems it proclaims to loathe?
We say that we care about earth while indulging in the daily practices that abuse her.
We scream save the babies while giving our dollar to consume products from corporations that perpetuate crimes against humanity.
We talk about craving depth while popularizing shallow content, customs, and people.
We preach about our dreams of a peaceful world while funding the organizations that create the hostile environments that traumas are born from.
Without us taking accountability for our contribution to the bad habits of society as individuals, earth will continue to burn and it will be the fault of each individual who flicked their match thinking it would never be the one to start a wildfire.
We save ourselves in this story.
Or we kill ourselves.
The choice is ours to make.
